It is, as Uncle Tom Moffatt would put it, “The show all Hawaii has been waiting for” — Elton John and percussionist Ray Cooper in a one-nighter at 8 p.m. January 6, 2010 at the Blaisdell Arena.
Tickets, priced at $67, $97 and $157 go on sale Saturday, November 21, at 9 a.m. at the Blaisdell Arena Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, at Ticketmaster outlets, and by phone at 800-745-4000. Tickets are reserved seats, all ages, and limited to six per customer. Applicable service charges will be added to each ticket.
The show is Elton’s first here in nine years and adds Honolulu to the list of cities he and Cooper are playing in what is now a world tour. While Elton is celebrating the world-wide success of his latest album, “Rocket Man-Number Ones,” the tour is also a reunion with Cooper, who first worked with him in the late 1970s and again in the 1990s.
The duo is coming to Hawaii after a performance in the Royal Albert Hall in London and a series of concerts in France and Italy.
