John Rowles cancels Hawaii Theatre concert

Hawaii fans of multi-talented Maori entertainer John Rowles will have to make other plans for Sunday. Rowles’ scheduled concert at the Hawaii Theatre has been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

“I am obviously very disappointed by this situation,” Rowles said in a press release issued by Tom Moffatt Productions on Tuesday. “I have been very excited about the prospect of returning to Hawaii after a 20 year break and had taken a great deal of time to prepare an amazing show.

“I love Hawaii and I am very appreciative of my fans there, so I will be doing my best to reschedule the show for summer 2010.”

Tickets can be refunded beginning tomorrow at the Hawaii Theatre Box Office. Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; call 528-0506 for more info.
